The Company This exclusive golf resort located in Spain require an exceptional General Manager to oversee the complete operation of the venue which includes, 45 holes (2 x 18 hole championship courses and full length 9 hole course), 2 modern clubhouses which includes 3 fine dining restaurants, beach club, and state of the art practice facilities. The Role: The General Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the resort including business development through proactive sales and marketing strategies targeting the European market. Also within this position you will be required to manage and lead the existing team to deliver exceptional customer service and standards through the resort, while maximising revenue through up selling of products and services. Responsibilities: • Management of the resort on a day to day basis. • Oversee all areas of the business including business development, membership, food & beverage, golf, front of house, housekeeping and maintenance. • Financial reporting and budget control. • Marketing and business development. • Recruitment of key staff members. • Staff training and leadership. • Development of the resort within the international market place through developing key partnerships. • Attending trade shows to sell and develop the brand name of the resort. • Event Management and control. Requirements: This position requires an individual who is currently working within a high end operation/environment as a polished and outstanding manager with an exceptional eye for detail, with the ability to build and maintain standards across all areas of the resort. • Demonstrate a proven track record within luxury 4 or 5 star resorts, with over 5 or more years experience. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Clear understanding of financial management and cost control is essential. • The ability to adapt to changing and challenging environments. • Strong people management and administrational abilities. • Commercial and marketing knowledge. • The ability to manage and lead a large team. • Language requirement – the individual must be able to speak Spanish.
