Playing the Game

There are millions of good driving range players around the World and yet only a few are able to transfer the technical skills that they exhibit in practice to the golf course. The skills needed on the course are very different than those which most people practice on a day to day basis.

Most golf courses include various challenges which must be overcome to achieve success. Obstacles such as water and sand hazards, out of bounds, trees and rough combined with the ball having to be played from uneven lies, ensures that the course becomes an examination of more than ball striking ability.

It is the combination of physical, technical, mental and strategical skills in the field of play that determines the success or otherwise of our performance. The brain and the body must work together and when they work in harmony the result is performance that is often described as being in the “zone”. We are fortunate enough to have contributors to this section of the site that recognise the importance of harmonising all the skills and able to give fresh insights to bringing your best game to the course.
