PING extend 3-Year Partnership Agreement …& launch New Putting Improvement Tool

PING; the name that, for more than half-a-century, has been recognised and revered worldwide for the innovative quality of its golf equipment, has continued its corporate partnership agreement with the PGAs of Europe for a further three years.

The unique family company that began in 1959 in the garage of its founder, the late Karsten Solheim, in Redwood City USA, when he invented his revolutionary Anser putter, will continue to work together with the 38 member association of the PGAs that so closely share its business philosophy.

“As I have emphasised again and again, the PGAs of Europe is immensely proud of its partnerships with a portfolio of companies of the very highest calibre,” said Chief Executive Ian Randell, on reaching agreement to extend the link with PING for a further term.

“PING, of course, fit ideally into this category. There can barely be a golfer anywhere in the world, of any age or gender, who has not heard of, and possibly owned, one of their range of inspirational products.

“It is this pursuit of excellence in everything they do, together with their obvious love of the sport, and their readiness to put something back into it - supporting professionals and amateurs alike - that appeals to us so strongly.

“From their initial introduction of the legendry Anser putter, to their sponsorship of the Solheim Cup, and so many other activities, PING truly are role models in the industry of golf, respected by all. We couldn’t be prouder of the fact that our partnership is to continue.”

Ping Europe’s Managing Director, John Clark, expressed matching satisfaction after agreeing the renewal:

“The PGAs of Europe continue to play a pivotal role in the development of golf. Their members form crucial links between the whole golf industry and the consumer for all aspects of golfing information, tuition and custom-fitting. Their goal is our goal; to help golfers play their best and for the game of golf to grow. This is a very natural partnership for PING and the PGAs of Europe.”

As the New Year arrives so too do PING’s new designs, including an update of the original Anser putter, precision-milled from 303 stainless steel and their unique putting improvement tool, the iPING App.

Their publicity material emphasises: “With the Anser Milled Series, PING updates the original Anser design of Karsten Solheim.  The new designs offer various hosel configurations to match specific stroke types and feature intricate design details to build upon the performance that has contributed to more than 500 tour wins and 26 major victories since 1966.

“With the new Anser Milled models, PING has introduced the innovative iPING app, a putting improvement tool which coincides with the Fit for Stroke™ putter fitting concept matching the player with the models that fit their stroke type.”
