Heads of Training Summit & Inaugural Coaches Circle Announced

The latest edition of the PGAs of Europe Heads of Training Summit and the newly formed Coaches Circle Meeting is to be staged, back to back, between March 11-March 16, 2012 at Lumine Resort in Spain, near Barcelona.

Each event will comprise of eight working sessions, with the Coaches Circle ‘teeing off’ on March 12 and March 13, followed by a golf day at the Lumine resort and the Heads of Training closing out the week on March 15 and March 16. The resort will also host the PGAs of Europe Fourball Championship.

“We are currently working on the final schedule for both events but we already have a very good programme of topics and a strong line up of speakers. We expect to be able to announce the completed schedule early in January but suffice to say that anyone involved in National team coaching, National programme coaching or Elite player coaching then they will not wish to miss the first Coaches Circle Meeting”, said Tony Bennett, PGAs of Europe Director of Education.

Anyone who has attended a Heads of Training Summit (HoTS) previously will know the importance of such an event, and the PGAs of Europe can point directly to several initiatives that came from the last dedicated HoTS which was held in Lisbon. Said Bennett speaking of the Heads of Training, “not only is the information presented at this event relevant to every PGA member country, it is also very important that all countries are represented and can make their voice heard, so giving a cross cultural perspective on the major issues in education and training”.
