Canada Joins Glenmuir's Global Spread
Glenmuir, the Scotland-based leading apparel company, has appointed Brisson Sports Marketing (BSM) as distributor for their Canadian market as its global spread goes transatlantic.
With continued strong European sales, Glenmuir has focused on establishing further international distribution. With an estimated 6 million golfers and some of the world’s highest golf participation rates, Canada, whose PGA is now a PGAs of Europe member, was identified as a key market.
Glenmuir managing director Colin Mee, commented: "The golf market in Canada generates an estimated $13.6 billion annually, so it’s an opportunity for our company to secure a significant brand presence. BSM have excellent contacts within the golfing community in Canada, along with established distribution channels for their other leading golf products, so we are naturally delighted to be working with them.”
Brisson Sports Marketing was founded by David Brisson as a marketing company initially working with the biggest brands in golf and golf events - from one-day corporate events to PGA Tour events. The company moved into the distribution side of the golf industry in 2008 and currently works with Club Glove, the number one travel gear in golf, Legendary Headwear, the number one hat manufacturer on the PGA Tour and Stretch Towel.

Glenmuir is a preferred supplier to The European Ryder Cup Team, will be lead vendor in the Ryder Cup Merchandise Pavilion at this year's Ryder Cup in Wales, and is exclusive licensee of Open Championship official merchandise.
