Algarve-based Tutor Training Course
As announced in August's Working Together, the next PGAs of Europe open Tutor Training course will be held between the 24-26th November in the Algarve region of Portugal at the Tivoli Victoria Hotel.
The course will be open only to those Tutors that are recommended by their PGA and involved in delivering education / training within their PGA. Applications will be taken on a first come first served basis.
The course fee is €695 per person, which includes a full pack of pre-course materials to prepare candidates for what is a generic Tutor course. The course will have three elements:
- Two days of taught elements, 24th & 25th November, (see the outline programme).
- Part 1 assessment which will immediately follow the taught elements, 26th November.
- Part 2 assessment (if competence is not reached at the first assessment). There will be no assessor fee for this but expenses of travel, accommodation and sustenance will be charged.
“Our primary objective is to help member countries to further develop their tutors and offer a certification /qualification that will strengthen the quality of their programme,” said Director of Education, Tony Bennett.
“A successful verification of tutor skills is an important tick in the box when presenting a member country’s education programme for approval at any level to the PGAs of Europe; a national qualification agency, government or federation”.
Applications for the course will be taken on a first come first served basis, please apply in the first instance to Eve Spellar at ecs@pgae.com.
