International Pro-Am Brings Festival Feeling to Lumine2 min read

The 2017 Lumine International Pro-Am will take place from February 10-12 at Lumine Mediterránea Beach & Golf Club in Spain as part of the Lumine Golf Festival.

The inaugural Pro-Am will see teams of one PGA Professional and three amateur players battle it out over Lumine’s renowned Lakes and Hills Courses, with Professionals competing for a guaranteed prize fund of €20,000.

The Lumine Golf Festival is a bringing together of all abilities of golfer to celebrate the sport in a mixture of competition types, all taking place across the beach and golf community’s world-famous facilities on the Costa Daurada.

The Pro-Am will follow the PGAs of Europe’s Fourball Championship that forms the first half of the festival from 06-08 February in which up to 240 male and female PGA Professionals will compete in pairs for the coveted title.

“We are really excited about our Golf Festival this year,” explained General Manager of Lumine Mediterránea Beach & Golf Club, Calle Carlsson. “We wanted to create a prolonged period of celebration and fun for golfers of all abilities, from PGA Professionals all the way to fledgling amateur and recreational golfers.

“The addition of our International Pro-Am this year brings another dimension to our relationship with the PGAs of Europe and will allow an even bigger audience of Professionals and amateurs to come and experience what our golf and beach community has to offer.”

Professionals enter the Pro-Am free when with a team of three amateurs – amateur packages cost €1,095 and include:

  • 5 nights at Hotel Tryp Port Cambrils, sharing a double room, breakfast included
  • 4 rounds of golf at Lumine Golf Club
  • Airport and daily transfers
  • 4 lunches at Lumine Golf Club and 4 dinners
  • Complimentary use of all practice facilities throughout the event at designated times
  • Official practice round on Thursday 9th February
  • Entry to the Lumine International Pro-Am – Friday 10th, Saturday 11th, and Sunday 12th
  • Shared golf carts for all 4 rounds of golf
  • Prize Giving during Lunch at LUMINE Mediterránea Beach & Golf Community
