Posted on: 1st Nov 2017

The PGAs of Europe-sanctioned 5th World Club Pro-Am, supported by the PGA of South Africa, will take place from the 24th February to 3rd March 2018, taking in some of the best courses South Africa has to offer.

Teams of one PGA Professional and three amateur golfers will battle it out over 90 holes of golf across four championship courses, with the top 60 Professionals playing for a prize fund of $120,000 or a minimum appearance fee of US$ 1,000, whilst amateurs will compete for $50,000 in amateur prizes, plus two luxury car Hole-in-One’s for both the first amateur and first Professional to hit the perfect shot on a designated hole.

Teams will play five rounds of competitive golf at Royal Durban Golf Club, Zimbali Country Club, Cotswold Downs Golf Estate and Umhlali Country Club.

On the fifth and final day, the Professionals will play round five of their championship individual event and their score will also be added to the first four days of the team event to calculate the final score. Amateurs can either partake in an individual Cup Championship on the last day or support their PGA Professional in the final round.

The 2017 Pro-Am was won by PGA of Great Britain & Ireland Professional, Garry Houston, who pulled six points clear of the field in his final round to win the fourth World Club Pro-Am supported by the PGA of South Africa and sanctioned by the PGAs of Europe.

Pro-Am entry includes a full golfing package of seven nights accommodation sharing and five days of golf, along with:

  • 7 nights, 4 star accommodation
  • 90 holes of golf across 4 championship courses
  • Full personalised baggage master service for golf clubs
  • Official practice round
  • Golf carts or caddies
  • 5-Star Welcome Banquet
  • Daily transport and airport transfers
  • One Pro and one Amateur Hole-In-One prize
  • Closing gala prize-giving dinner
  • And much more…
