A philosopher and sport scientist by training, Richard Bailey now shares his time between writing and researching about the relationship between physical, sport and human development.
He has held Professorships in a number of Universities, and he now shares his time between writing and running an independent research company.
He is also a popular public speaker, and has presented to audiences in every continent of the globe. Richard has carried out research for many international and national educational, and sporting organisations, including Nike Inc, the IOC, and the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education.
He writes a popular blog called ‘Talking Education and Sport’ (http://talkingeducationandsport.blogspot.de), Tweets about sport and learning (@DrDickB), and has a new, regular column on physical activity and the good life for Psychology Today magazine called ‘Smart Moves’. He lives in Berlin, Germany.
